This is where the game of Monopoly ( the more aggressive version) comes in. The resource is land, and the variable is monopoly money (which only operates within the game and has no value outside it).
To start the game, we all choose a counter like all arriving in the Americas with nothing.
To get the game started, the bank creates and issues each player 1500 credits, all out of nothing, but its value is within the game’s rules.
So you throw the dice and land on the community chest, and you have to pay 50 credits ( only in the correct currency). You can pay so you don’t go to jail. Also, you may get a rebate from the community chest (not earned) by sheer luck.
You decide whether to buy land, and do you buy the most expensive that could be the most lucrative?

(for popularity and ability to earn high incomes) for rent when other players land on your property.
At some point in the game again, a strong and wealthy player emerges by the luck of the dice, and some gameplay and fines are easily paid. Even going to jail is no big deal, as other players will still have to pay rent if they land on the convicts’ property. (Parker 1935)
